The Kraylix

Vewlix Arcade Cabinet

This beautiful machine is my Kraylix.  It is a clone of the Vewlix Arcade Cabinet by Taito.  It was designed and built by a man named Kray out of Texas.  Kray has been providing those who want that arcade experience in the comfort of their own home with a DIY kit that he provides to anyone in the continental US via his website.Kray offers his clone in 2 different formats, a professionally cut DIY kit or a fully assembled, fully painted version.  The DIY kit comes with everything you need to put it together in about 30 minutes or so.  You would still need to sand, seal and paint the cabinet to the color scheme that you so desire.  Though, if you don’t have the space or time to paint then Kray will complete everything for you.

The entire process from getting on the waiting list to receiving my final product was about 2.5 months.  Most of which was Kray taking the time to make sure the paint job was perfect before shipping.  This time was used to make sure that I had all the electronics that was needed to get the cabinet up and running. Kray does not include the electronics himself that is up to the customer to supply on their own.

  1. Hi,

I was wondering what are the part numbers of the buttons you have in there (and where did you get them?). From Kray’s site, the part numbers he uses for buttons (OBSN-30) don’t come in those colors.

    Thanks!

  2. Actually, what part number did you use for the base of the buttons? (the ring). I can’t find it in the color you are using. Are you using Sanwa? Or Seimitsu?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi there,

I was wondering if you can share with me the files for the artwork on the CP and the marquee. Been looking around the web and all I can find is a red version but the blue/purplish one that you have is pretty awesome!

    Thanks
